Football Game Preview: Hackley Hornets vs. Hopkins Hilltoppers

The Hackley Hornets will face off against the Hopkins Hilltoppers at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hopkins took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Hackley, who comes in off a win.

Hopkins will face off against a team with plenty of momentum: Hackley extended their winning streak to three last Friday. The Hornets took down Rye Country Day 28-12. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Meanwhile, Hopkins was beaten by Morristown-Beard 42-7 last Friday.

Hopkins' defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Hackley, their victory bumped their record up to 3-0.

Everything came up roses for Hackley against Hopkins in their previous meeting back in September of 2024, as the team secured a 38-0 win. Will the Hornets repeat their success, or do the Hilltoppers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
