Basketball Recap: Loveland Classical Comes Up Short

Loveland Classical lost against Heritage Christian back in February of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Loveland Classical Lions came up short against the Heritage Christian Eagles, falling 44-21. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 231st, while the Eagles are ranked 84th).

Despite the loss, Loveland Classical still got an impressive performance from Keira Doan, who posted seven points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals. Doan has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last nine times she's played.

Loveland Classical's loss dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Heritage Christian, the win (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 14-2.

Loveland Classical wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 56-21 victory against Lotus School For Excellence on the 17th. As for Heritage Christian, they have also already played their next matchup, a 58-10 win against Front Range Christian on the 15th.
