Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Slidell walked away with it. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Sulphur Golden Tors on Wednesday. Winning may never get old, but the Tigers sure are getting used to it with their seventh in a row.

Slidell's got stronger as the match went on, holding Sulphur to fewer and fewer points set over set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-16, 25-11.

Ava Barduca paced Slidell's offense, picking up 17 kills. Barduca got some help from Ava Labat and her 44 assists. Barduca was also a major player on defense: she and Cailyn Bergeron shared the team lead in blocks, finishing with three each.

Slidell's win bumped their record up to 32-7. As for Sulphur, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 13-27.

As of now, neither Slidell nor the Golden Tors have any future games scheduled.
