Volleyball Recap: Fruitport Extends Winning Streak to Three + How To Watch

Fruitport had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. Everything went their way against the Ionia Bulldogs on Tuesday as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The Trojans not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since October 25th (when they won 3-0).

Porter Johnson had a dynamite game, getting 21 digs and two aces. That's the most digs she has posted over her last ten matches.

Ionia's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Paislie Patterson, who had 20 digs, and Avery Hoppough, who had 12 digs. Patterson has been hot, having posted 11 or more digs the last five times she's played.

The win (which was Fruitport's third in a row) raised their record to 33-13-1. As for Ionia, they moved to 39-5 with that loss, which also ended their 18-match winning streak.

Coming up, Fruitport will square off against Fremont on Thursday. Ionia does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
