Soccer Game Preview: Mifflinburg vs. Line Mountain

The Mifflinburg Wildcats are taking a road trip to take on the Line Mountain Eagles at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Mifflinburg took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. Their defense stepped up to hand Midd-West a 3-0 shutout. Parice Shuck had the honor of scoring the game-winner for Mifflinburg.

Meanwhile, Line Mountain was able to grind out a solid victory over Juniata on Wednesday, taking the game 3-1.

Line Mountain has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. As for Mifflinburg, their win bumped their record up to 5-8-2.

Everything went Mifflinburg's way against Line Mountain in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as Mifflinburg made off with a 3-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
