Volleyball Recap: Pathway Christian Gets the Win

Pathway Christian won the last time they faced East Moline Christian and things went their way on Thursday too. The Panthers walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Eagles. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.

Pathway Christian had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 16-25, 25-17, 26-24, 29-27.

Stella Gehman paced Pathway Christian's offense, picking up 14 kills. Gehman got some help from Leah Schrock and her 23 assists. Gehman was also solid from the service line: she led the team with eight aces.

Pathway Christian's win bumped their record up to 7-3. As for East Moline Christian, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-10.

Coming up, Pathway Christian will head out on the road to face off against Faith Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for East Moline Christian, they will welcome First Baptist Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
