Basketball Recap: Punahou Gold Triumphs

Punahou Gold's tournament run continued when they took on Island on Saturday. Punahou Gold came out on top against Island by a score of 43-36. The 43-point effort marked Punahou Gold's lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

The victory made it two in a row for Punahou Gold and bumps their season record up to 3-4. As for Island, their loss was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-2.

Punahou Gold will be taking part in a tournament against Damien at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Punahou Gold is facing Damien at the right time seeing as Damien is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Island, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Kapa'a at 6:30 p.m. on January 2, 2025.
