Basketball Recap: Jaelissia Reeves' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Jefferson County over Dublin

Jefferson County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They lost to the Dublin Fighting Irish on the road by a 55-37 margin. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 53-47 back in January.

Several Warriors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jaelissia Reeves, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 15 boards. Another player making a difference was Shanteria Anderson, who posted 12 points in addition to six rebounds and five steals.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Dublin to victory, but perhaps none more so than Dajah Taylor, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 14 boards. Those 15 points gave Taylor a new career-high. Briana Daniel was another key player, going 5 for 10 on her way to 15 points and three steals.

Jefferson County's loss dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Dublin, their record is now 7-12.

Jefferson County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 63-30 defeat against East Laurens on the 31st. As for Dublin, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 51-48 win against Wheeler County on the 31st.
