Baseball Game Preview: Mart Panthers vs. Abbott Panthers

For the second straight game, Mart will face off against Abbott. Mart will take on Abbott at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.

Mart's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They came out on top against Abbott by a score of 4-0. Mart hasn't had any issues with Abbott recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Abbott's batters probably weren't too happy with D'Angelo 'DJ' Rhodes, who pitched a no hitter and racked up 12 Ks (he gave up four walks).

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Tyson Kilbride, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one triple. Ayden Lauderdale was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Abbott has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-9-1 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Mart, their victory bumped their record up to 6-4.
