Softball Game Preview: Bismarck Lions vs. Magnet Cove Panthers

The Bismarck Lions will head out to face off against the Magnet Cove Panthers at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Bismarck has given up an average of 7.8 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Bismarck came into this matchup off a tough 14-run loss on Tuesday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of Arkadelphia by a score of 14-12 on Thursday. The Lions just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Meanwhile, Magnet Cove came up short against Cutter-Morning Star on Thursday and fell 7-3.

Magnet Cove saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Braelyn McEntire, who went 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run marked the first that McEntire has launched this season.

Bismarck's loss dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Magnet Cove, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-8.

Bismarck came out on top in a nail-biter against Magnet Cove in their previous matchup back in March, sneaking past 10-9. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lions since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
