Basketball Recap: Reynolds Mountain Christian Academy Takes a Loss

The Reynolds Mountain Christian Academy Eagles were dealt an 86-23 defeat at the hands of the Christian Family Academy Fire on Friday. The Eagles were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 48-16.

When it comes to explaining why Reynolds Mountain Christian Academy lost, don't look at Mason Smith. Despite the final result, he posted four points.

It was another big night for Charles Murray, who dropped a triple-double on 34 points, ten rebounds, and ten assists for Christian Family Academy. Kaleb Marley was another key player, going 6 for 10 on his way to 14 points and five steals.

Reynolds Mountain Christian Academy has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season. As for Christian Family Academy, they pushed their record up to 10-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Christian Family Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 11 contests -- so hopefully Long Shoals Wesleyan Academy likes a good challenge.
