Volleyball Recap: Brawley Starts Season with Win at Home

Brawley took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Calexico Bulldogs with a sharp 3-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won seven in a row.

Brawley's got stronger as the match went on, holding Calexico to fewer and fewer points set over set. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-17, 25-13.

Grace Walker paced Brawley's offense, picking up nine kills. Walker got some help from Lucca Rubin and her 14 assists. Demi Vogel controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Brawley will have a chance to go back-to-back against Calexico: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
