Soccer Game Preview: Lake County vs. Middle Park

Lake County hasn't had much luck against Middle Park recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. Lake County will host Middle Park at 6:00 p.m.

Lake County is likely headed into the matchup with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Arvada on Monday. The Panthers fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 2-1. Having soared to a lofty six goals in the game before, Lake County couldn't push the score so high this time.

Meanwhile, Middle Park entered their tilt with Sheridan on Monday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They never let the Rams get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. Middle Park might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by four goals or more this season.

Their offense was hitting Sheridan from everywhere, as eight different players booted in a goal. Rilee Ludwig led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Middle Park's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-3. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 28 goals over those three contests. As for Lake County, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5-2.
