Basketball Recap: Holt Takes a Loss

Holt was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 28th straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Northside Rams 59-26. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Ironmen this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 67-19 back in November.

Caroline Jones was nothing short of spectacular for Northside: she dropped a double-double on 14 points and 18 boards. What's more, Jones also racked up two blocks, the most she's had since back in January. Another player making a difference was Kamryn Knowles, who posted 14 points in addition to five rebounds and five steals.

Holt's defeat dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Northside, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-3.

Holt wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 67-26 loss against Holy Spirit Catholic on the 19th. As for Northside, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 53-23 victory against Tuscaloosa Academy on the 20th.
