Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask McArthur). They were the clear victor by a 17-1 margin over the Boyd Anderson Cobras on Friday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Mustangs needed considering they were shut out in their previous match.

Ivan Chiu looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit.

At the plate, McArthur got a big performance out of Winston Rodriguez, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2. Isnedit Fernandez was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI and one double.

McArthur always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .720. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

McArthur's win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-9. As for Boyd Anderson, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

McArthur didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 20-0 loss against Pembroke Pines Charter on the 10th. As for Boyd Anderson, they will challenge Piper at 3:45 p.m. on March 17th. Piper's pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so Boyd Anderson's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
