Softball Recap: Keystone Oaks Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Keystone Oaks, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They were the clear victors by an 8-1 margin over the Quaker Valley Quakers on Tuesday. The Golden Eagles haven't had any issues with the Quakers recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Kailyn Brannon and Amelia Walter did most of the damage at the plate: Brannon scored a run and stole three bases while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances, while Walter scored a run and stole three bases while going 2-for-3. Those three stolen bases gave Brannon a new career-high. Nina Buckley was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Keystone Oaks always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .533. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Quaker Valley only posted an OBP of .310.

Keystone Oaks' win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Quaker Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coming up, Keystone Oaks will take on Fort Cherry at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Golden Eagles are facing the Rangers at the right time seeing as the Rangers are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Quaker Valley, they will face off against Northgate at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Flames will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Quakers surely won't give up without a fight.
