Softball Recap: Providence School Takes Down Andrew Jackson in a Playoff Battle

It's playoff time, and Providence School had no trouble coming through when it counted. They put the hurt on the Andrew Jackson Tigers with a sharp 13-1 win on Tuesday. The Stallions' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Elle Burns was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. What's more, she posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in March. Summer Stearns was another key player, going 1-for-2 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

Providence School was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .480. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Providence School has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-13 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Andrew Jackson, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-14.

As of now, neither Providence School nor the Tigers have any future games scheduled.
