Volleyball Recap: Apex Comes Up Short in High-Profile Match with Green Level + How To Watch

Apex faced Green Level in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Cougars took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Gators. The defeat continues a trend for the Cougars in their meetings with the Gators: they've now lost five in a row.

The final score came out to 25-10, 23-25, 25-18, 25-16.

Emma Ingraham paced Apex's offense, picking up 12 kills. Ingraham got some help from Rylee Moyer and her 13 assists. Luci Deese controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Green Level can attribute much of their success to Madison Simmons, who had 15 digs and three aces. What's more, Simmons racked up seven assists, the most she's had since back in September.

Apex's loss dropped their record down to 15-4. As for Green Level, the win keeps them at an undefeated 19-0.
