Soccer Recap: Steele vs. Vermilion
Steele was not the first on the board on Saturday, but they got there more often. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Vermilion Sailors 2-1. The Comets have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Sailors, too.

Filippo Rossini scored both of Steele's goals, bringing their combined season tally to four goals.
Steele moved to 7-8-2 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Vermilion, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-6-3.
Steele will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Wadsworth at 7:00 p.m. on October 23rd. Wadsworth will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Steele surely won't give up without a fight. Vermilion does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
