Softball Game Preview: Southeastern Panthers vs. Adena Warriors

Southeastern hasn't had much luck against Adena recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Panthers will face off against the Warriors at 5:15 p.m. Southeastern has given up an average of 7.7 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Southeastern lost 15-7 to Portsmouth West on Tuesday.

Lydia Williams made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored three runs while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Adena didn't have quite enough to beat Piketon on Tuesday and fell 9-8.

Jolyn Jett was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That home run was her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Adriana Guarnieri, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Southeastern's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Adena, they suffered their first road defeat, dropping their record down to 8-3.

Southeastern came up short against Adena in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, falling 7-3. Can the Panthers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
