Palmview won the last time they faced Rio Grande City and things went their way on Saturday too. The Lobos put the hurt on the Rattlers with a sharp 3-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Lobos.

The final score came out to 25-12, 25-18, 25-13.

Miley Zieske paced Palmview's offense, picking up 13 kills. Zieske got some help from Valeria Gauna and her 13 assists. Gauna also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Jessica Arevalo, racking up three apiece.

Palmview's victory bumped their record up to 15-5. As for Rio Grande City, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Palmview is set to square off against their familiar foe Mission Veterans Memorial at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Rio Grande City will challenge rival Martin at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
