Soccer Recap: Paloma Valley Takes a Loss

Paloma Valley lost against Poly on January 7th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Paloma Valley Wildcats fell just short of the Poly Bears by a score of 3-2. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 514th, while the Bears are ranked 143rd).

Paloma Valley has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-9-2 record this season. As for Poly, their record is now 11-4-3.

Paloma Valley has already played their next game (against Citrus Hill), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Poly will face off against Valley View at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Poly's last seven matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
