Soccer Recap: Middleton Extends Winning Streak to Four

It's playoff time, and Middleton had no trouble coming through when it counted. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Brandon Eagles on Friday. That's two games straight that the Tigers have won by just one goal.

Juan Medina Cordova and Wender Amesfort scored both of Middleton's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 25 goals.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Middleton, bringing their record for this year to 5-8-1. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 13 goals over those four games. As for Brandon, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 1-11-2 record this season.

Middleton will take on Lake Region at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lake Region's last three matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. Brandon does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
