 Granite Bay is 3-0 against Jesuit since May of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success  on Thursday. The Granite Bay Grizzlies will face off against the Jesuit Marauders at 4:00  p.m. After  the pair made easy work of their previous opponents,  one won't be so lucky on Thursday.
 Granite Bay is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup  on Tuesday. They never let Rio Americano onto the board and left with  a   10-0  win. Granite Bay's victory was all the more impressive since Rio Americano was averaging only 3.62 runs allowed on the season.
  Chase Bentley was a major factor no matter where he played. He  didn't allow a single  earned run while striking out 11 over six innings pitched. Bentley has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in seven consecutive pitching appearances. Bentley was also big at the plate,  scoring two  runs while going 1-for-3.
 In other batting news,  Jace Bystrowski was  incredible,  scoring four  runs and  stealing two bases while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was  Brenden Pops, who  got on base  in all four of his plate appearances with  an  RBI.
 Meanwhile, Jesuit waltzed into their contest  on Tuesday with nine straight wins... but they left with ten. They were the clear victor by  a  13-1 margin over the Gauchos. Considering Jesuit has won nine matchups by more than nine  runs this season, Tuesday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Jesuit also got a great performance from  Garrett Valdez as he  struck out eight batters over  five innings while giving up just one earned run off   four  hits (and only one walk).
 On the hitting side,  the team  relied heavily on  Cooper Babb, who  got on base  in all three of his plate appearances with a  home run and three  runs.  Sammy Kane was another key contributor,  scoring a  run while going 1-for-3.
 Granite Bay's win bumped their record up to 20-9. As for Jesuit, they pushed their record up to 18-10-1 with that  victory, which was their eighth straight  at home.
 Granite Bay beat Jesuit 15-10  when the teams last played  back in May of 2022. The rematch might be a little tougher for Granite Bay since the  squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
