Basketball Recap: Combine Academy Global Falls to Accelerate Academy in First Game of Season

Combine Academy Global unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They were beaten by the Accelerate Academy Wildcats 85-36 on Monday. The Goats were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 49-25.

Accelerate Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Carson Mckenney out in front who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 12 boards. Tyrez Neal was another key player, putting up ten points and five rebounds.

Combine Academy Global will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Oak Hill Academy White at 6:00 p.m. on December 8. As for Accelerate Academy, they will challenge Liberty Preparatory Christian Academy on Monday.
