The home team had won the previous six meetings between McCall-Donnelly and New Plymouth, and New Plymouth kept the tradition alive. The Vandals lost 14-2 to the Pilgrims on Saturday. The Vandals have struggled against the Pilgrims recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meeting.

McCall-Donnelly saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Harper Ferguson, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

The Panthers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so the Pilgrims' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
