Baseball Game Preview: Orestimba Warriors vs. Ripon Indians

Orestimba hasn't had much luck against Ripon recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Warriors will take on the Indians at 4:00 p.m. Orestimba has given up an average of 9.3 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Hilmar hit Orestimba with a six-run third inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Warriors lost 11-1 to the Yellowjackets.

Meanwhile, Ripon posted their closest victory since March 17th on Thursday. They skirted past Golden Valley 1-0. The win continues a trend for the Indians in their matchups with the Cougars: they've now won five in a row.

The team relied heavily on Lucas Weaver, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases and one run. Those two hits gave him a new career-high.

Ripon's victory bumped their record up to 11-9. As for Orestimba, their loss dropped their record down to 8-11.

Orestimba couldn't quite get it done against Ripon when the teams last played back in April of 2025 as they fell 7-4. Can the Warriors avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
