Basketball Recap: HomeSchool Resource Center Takes a Loss

HomeSchool Resource Center lost against Faith Christian back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Patriots took a 63-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Falcons.

When it comes to explaining why HomeSchool Resource Center lost, don't look at Noel Green. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double with 22 points and 20 boards. That was a full 41.5% of the Patriots' points, marking the third time in a row Green has posted more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Roman Cooper, who had 12 points and six rebounds.

Faith Christian got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Brady Bivins out in front who shot 55% from the field en route to 16 points and five steals. That's the most points Bivins has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Baker, who went 8-for-13 to rack up 18 points and five boards.

HomeSchool Resource Center has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season. As for Faith Christian, they pushed their record up to 2-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, HomeSchool Resource Center won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Kankakee Trinity Academy at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Faith Christian, they will also get right back to it: they'll challenge Calumet Christian at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
