Recap: Pinewood Prep Panthers vs. Ashley Ridge Swamp Foxes
The Pinewood Prep Panthers suffered their biggest defeat since November 30, 2023 on Monday. They were dealt a 54-23 loss at the hands of Ashley Ridge. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Pinewood Prep has scored all season.
Ashley Ridge got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Nadia President out in front who scored 11 points. President continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Briana Davidson was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with two steals.
This is the second loss in a row for Pinewood Prep and nudges their season record down to 1-12. As for Ashley Ridge, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pinewood Prep will stay at home for another game and welcome Palmetto Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on January 17th. Palmetto Christian Academy is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 50.1 points per game. Ashley Ridge won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Cane Bay at 7:00 p.m. on January 16th. Cane Bay will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps South Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 164th, while Ashley Ridge is ranked 46th).
