Basketball Recap: Mendon Takes a Loss

Mendon saw some tournament action on Monday. They came up short against the Reading Rangers, falling 44-20.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Reading to victory, but perhaps none more so than Abby Affholter, who posted eight points and eight rebounds. Thanks to that strong game, Affholter now owns an excellent 45.1% field goal percentage. Maggie Santure was another key player, putting up nine points and seven boards.

Mendon's loss dropped their record down to 12-11. As for Reading, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 15-10.

Mendon does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Reading, they have already played their next match, a 52-22 defeat against Concord on the 12th.
