Volleyball Recap: Whiteland Beats Alexandria-Monroe for Their Third Straight Victory

Whiteland waltzed into their contest on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Alexandria-Monroe Tigers by a score of 2-0. That's more bragging rights for the Warriors, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Sophia Dyer paced Whiteland's offense, picking up nine kills. Dyer got some help from Carrie Ginder and her 13 assists. Ginder was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Whiteland's record now sits at 12-16. As for Alexandria-Monroe, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 11 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-17 record this season.

After both having extra time off, Whiteland and East Central will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Alexandria-Monroe, they have already played their next match, a 3-2 defeat against Eastbrook on the 16th.
