Basketball Recap: Wayne Takes a Loss

Wayne was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They came up short against the Bloomfield Bombers, falling 61-40. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 74-32 back in December of 2024.

Wayne's defeat dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Bloomfield, they pushed their record up to 11-4 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wayne will challenge Mynderse Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Bloomfield, they will take on Newark at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Newark will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Bloomfield surely won't give up without a fight.
