The Oak Forest Bengals will take on the Bloomington Purple Raiders at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Oak Forest is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. Everything went their way against Centennial as they made off with a 38-12 win. The Bengals pushed the score to 38-6 by the end of the third, a deficit the Chargers cut but never quite recovered from.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bloomington). They breezed past Mascoutah to the tune of 57-26 on Saturday. That's two games straight that the Purple Raiders have won by exactly 31 points.

Oak Forest better keep an eye on Ky'Veon Chestnut. He was instrumental in Bloomington's win, rushing for 297 yards and five TDs while picking up 9.6 yards per carry. Chestnut is becoming a predictor of the Purple Raiders' success: when he posts at least 80 rushing yards the team is 6-1 (and 1-2 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Keyontae Hamilton, who rushed for 38 yards and one score.

Bloomington was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 415 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

The victory made it two in a row for Bloomington and bumps their season record up to 7-3. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 47.0 points over those games. As for Oak Forest, their victory bumped their record up to 9-1.
