Softball Recap: Lincoln County Comes Up Short

Lincoln County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Tates Creek Commodores, falling 19-0. The Patriots were not able to make up for their loss to the Commodores from their previous meeting back in April of 2019.

Lincoln County's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Tates Creek, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-8.

Looking ahead, Lincoln County will take on Simon Kenton at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Pioneers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so the Patriots' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Tates Creek, they will face off against Cooper at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday.
