Recap: Box Elder Bears vs. Fort Benton/Highwood
The Box Elder Bears had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They snuck past Fort Benton/Highwood with a 47-42 win on Friday. The score was all tied up 19-19 at the break, but Box Elder was the better team in the second half.
Box Elder found their leader in underclassman Martay Stiffarm-Rosette, who scored 24 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Stiffarm-Rosette has scored all season. Ariel Gopher was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Box Elder's win bumped their record up to 4-7. As for Fort Benton/Highwood, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-5 record this season.
Box Elder won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against North Star at 3:00 p.m. on January 20th. Fort Benton/Highwood does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
