Escondido had won two straight games and Chloe Cid did her part to make it three on Tuesday. The Cougars came out on top against the Valley Center Jaguars by a score of 3-1 for which the team can thank Cid, who had 20 digs and three aces. She has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more digs the last nine times she's played.

Escondido had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-19, 25-23, 25-10.

Despite the loss, Valley Center still got an impressive performance from Olivia Becker, who had ten digs and three aces.

The victory got Escondido back to even at 12-12. As for Valley Center, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-16 record this season.
