Volleyball Recap: Myers Park Mustangs vs. East Mecklenburg Eagles
Myers Park was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the East Mecklenburg Eagles.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-16, 25-11.
Adalberto Gomez had an outrageously good game for East Mecklenburg as he had 12 digs and seven aces. Those seven aces gave Gomez a new career-high. Charlie Wehrheim also deserves some recognition as he had his first block of the season.
Myers Park now has a losing record of 4-5. As for East Mecklenburg, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-4.
Myers Park does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for East Mecklenburg, they will welcome Union Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
