Recap: Edmonds-Woodway Warriors vs. Stanwood Spartans
The Edmonds-Woodway Warriors scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They walked away with a 73-60 win over Stanwood. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Edmonds-Woodway has managed all season.
Edmonds-Woodway got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Dj Karl out in front who scored 17 points along with seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was William Alseth, who scored 17 points.
The win was the third in a row for Edmonds-Woodway, bringing their record for this year to 3-3. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.3 points per game. As for Stanwood, they bumped their record down to 1-4 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Edmonds-Woodway will be home for the holidays to greet Everett at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Everett has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 190 points over their last three games. As for Stanwood, they will head out on the road to face off against Anacortes at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Anacortes' favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
