Football Game Preview: Prouty Panthers vs. Southbridge Pioneers + Official Tickets

For the first time this season, Prouty will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will head out to square off against the Southbridge Pioneers at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Prouty will come into the contest with an undefeated record on the line.

Prouty gave up the first points on Friday, but they didn't let that get them down. They took down Keefe Tech 36-18. Prouty's victory was all the more impressive since the Broncos were averaging only 14.83 points allowed on the season.

Meanwhile, Southbridge hadn't done well against Abby Kelley Foster recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Pioneers secured a 12-6 W over the Bears. The Pioneers' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Prouty better keep an eye on JJ Maldonado Cosme. He was instrumental in Southbridge's win, rushing for 55 yards and two scores, while also throwing for 157 yards on nine of 18 attempts.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Southbridge's defense and their three sacks. In that department, Miguel Velasquez was the leader with two.

Southbridge's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Prouty, their victory bumped their record up to 6-0.

Prouty was dealt a bruising 32-0 loss at the hands of Southbridge in their previous meeting back in November of 2024. Thankfully for the Panthers, Alexis Ramos (who rushed for 163 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.6 yards per carry) won't be suiting up this time.
