Volleyball Recap: Make It Five in a Row for Winner

Winner won the last time they faced Kimball/White Lake and things went their way on Thursday too. The Warriors were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Wildkats. Winning may never get old, but the Warriors sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

While Winner won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-9, 25-19.

Lilly Barfuss paced Winner's offense, picking up 16 kills. Barfuss got some help from Gracie Root and her 34 assists.

Winner's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Kimball/White Lake, their loss dropped their record down to 3-10.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Winner will take on Parkston at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Kimball/White Lake, they will face off against Corsica/Stickney at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
