Basketball Game Preview: Mae Jemison Jaguars vs. Pinson Valley Indians

Mae Jemison is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They took down Muscle Shoals 71-53.

Meanwhile, Pinson Valley entered their tilt with Jasper on Saturday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They came within a single point of losing the streak, but they secured a 57-56 W against the Vikings.

Mae Jemison better keep an eye on Austin 'Woo' Coner. He was instrumental in Pinson Valley's win, going 8 of 10 en route to 31 points and three steals. What's more, Coner also posted a 80% field goal percentage, which is the highest he's posted since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Braylen Ringstaff, who posted eight points.

Pinson Valley's victory bumped their record up to 19-8. As for Mae Jemison, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 18-11 record this season.
