The scorekeeper got an easy start on Monday as neither Granada Hills Charter nor Chatsworth made it on the board until the fifth inning. The Highlanders walked away with a 4-1 victory over the Chancellors. The win continues a trend for the Highlanders in their matchups with the Chancellors: they've now won nine in a row.

April Anaya spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits and racked up six Ks. Those six strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Elysse Diaz, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Granada Hills Charter now has a winning record of 10-9-1. As for Chatsworth, they dropped their record down to 10-7 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.
