Softball Recap: Midland Takes a Loss

Midland came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Calico Rock Pirates, falling 10-2. The matchup marked the Mustangs' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Addison Rooffener made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run, two RBI, and one double. That double was her first of the season.

Midland has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season. Calico Rock's record is now 3-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Midland will head out to square off against South Side at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Calico Rock, they will square off against Cotter at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
