Volleyball Recap: Rice Lake Comes Up Short

Rice Lake lost against Barron back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Warriors took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Golden Bears.

Addison Schmidt paced Rice Lake's offense, picking up eight kills. Schmidt got some help from Abby Doebereiner and her 18 assists.

Rice Lake's defeat dropped their record down to 11-4. As for Barron, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-2 record this season.

Rice Lake has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Osceola on the 13th. As for Barron, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against St. Croix Falls on the 13th.
