West Valley won the last time they faced Rogers and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Eagles blew past the Pirates 14-4. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

West Valley got a big performance out of Haylee Kelly, who scored two runs while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was Piper Hancock, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2.

West Valley was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .652. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

The win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 2-5. As for Rogers, their loss was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-7.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: West Valley beat the Pirates by a score of 21-6 later that day.
