Basketball Recap: Sebastien Rodriguez Key Part of Team Effort in Bulls Win

While Mater Brickell Academy didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-19), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They snuck past the South Miami Cobras with a 53-48 victory on Tuesday.

Mater Brickell Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Sebastien Rodriguez out in front who shot 45% from the field en route to 18 points and three steals. Rodriguez's big performance that evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. Emanuel Caraballo was another key player, dropping a double-double with 11 points and ten rebounds.

Mater Brickell Academy's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for South Miami, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Mater Brickell Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 70-12 loss against Mater Academy Charter on the 3rd. As for South Miami, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, an 81-54 defeat against Varela on the 4th.
