Baseball Recap: Wes-Del Comes Up Short

If Wes-Del was feeling good fresh off their 13-7 takedown of Southern Wells on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Warriors came up short against the Raiders on Saturday, falling 23-3. The Warriors were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Raiders earlier this season, when they won 13-7.

Wes-Del saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tyler Summers, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. That RBI was Summers' first of the season.

Wes-Del's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Southern Wells, their win ended a ten-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-1.

Looking ahead, Wes-Del will welcome Daleville at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Southern Wells, they will head out to take on Mississinewa at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Indians have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.5 runs per game on average), something the Raiders will no doubt try to take advantage of.
