Recap: Edcouch-Elsa Yellowjackets vs. Valley View Tigers
The Edcouch-Elsa Yellowjackets were the 24-20 winner over the Valley View Tigers when they last played one another back in November of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Edcouch-Elsa fell 16-7 to Valley View on Friday.
Elijah Trevino threw for 43 yards and a touchdown. On the ground, Jayreed Amaya picked up 18 receiving yards.
Edcouch-Elsa's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 4-6. As for Valley View, their win ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-7.
Edcouch-Elsa will take on Pioneer at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Pioneer has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 419 points over their last nine contests. As for Valley View, they will head out on the road to face off against Mission Veterans Memorial at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Mission Veterans Memorial is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.
