Dj Johnson Has Career Rushing Day

Starting off the list is Coosa's Dj Johnson, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. On Friday Johnson rushed for 29 yards and a touchdown, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.

Coosa dropped their record down to 3-5 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home. Johnson and Coosa will head out on the road to take on Gordon Lee at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

A Season-Best Performance from Carter Christiansen Leads Dade County over Coosa

Dade County was led to victory by Carter Christiansen, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Christiansen rushed for 82 yards and a touchdown, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 79 yards.

This year, Christiansen has run in 3 touchdowns while averaging 27.5 rushing yards per game.

Big Game from Callihan As Fannin County Won 56-6

Carson Callihan was instrumental in extending Fannin County's winning streak to eight on Friday. Nobody could stop Callihan as he rushed for 147 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.6 yards per carry. He is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last seven games he's played dating back to last season.

Fannin County pushed their record up to 8-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. Callihan will try to repeat (or improve) on that dominant performance when he faces off against Christian Heritage on Friday.

Fannin County Wins Eighth-Straight Thanks to Brayden Taylor

Brayden Taylor's big game helped extend Fannin County's winning streak to eight on Friday. Taylor turned in nothing short of a gem, picking up 114 receiving yards and a touchdown. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making six total tackles (2.0 for loss) and defending a pass.

On the season, Taylor has caught 4 touchdowns while averaging 55.5 receiving yards per game.

Elijah Weaver and Co. Win Eighth in a Row

Elijah Weaver was instrumental in extending Fannin County's winning streak to eight on Friday. Armuchee had no answer to Weaver as he rushed for 16 yards and a touchdown, and also caught a touchdown.
