Baseball Recap: Stevenson Patriots vs. Prospect Knights        
        
		
            
 Stevenson came tearing into  Thursday's  contest with five straight wins  (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4 runs) and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Prospect Knights 8-1. That's two games straight that Stevenson has won by  exactly seven  runs.
 Stevenson got a great performance from  Drew Clark as he  didn't allow a single  earned run while striking out six over five innings pitched. Clark has been consistent recently: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in seven consecutive pitching appearances.
 At the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Joe Dolenga, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in two of his three plate appearances. Another player making a difference was  Tyler Martini, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-1.
 Stevenson has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won eight of their last nine matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 18-8 record  this season. As for Prospect, their loss dropped their record down to 15-8.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Stevenson will  face off against Palatine at 10:00  a.m.  on Saturday. As for Prospect, they will head out on the road to  challenge  Schaumburg at 4:45  p.m.  on Friday. Prospect's pitching crew has only allowed four  runs per game  this season, so Schaumburg's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
